PASOK: PEGA exposes anti-democratic actions of ‘semi-state employees’

European Parliament’s PEGA Commission of Inquiry reveals anti-democratic actions of “semi-state personnel”.“, his spokesman said in a statement. PASOKDimitris Manzos.

Detailed statement from the PASOK-KINAL press representative:

“Today is Europe Day and Mr. Mitsotakis holidays cannot hide the bill that European institutions are sending to the New Democracy government for the blows it has dealt to the rule of law with the wiretapping scandal and its cover-up.

The PEGA Investigation Committee of the European Parliament exposes the anti-democratic practice of “state parastate”, the use of surveillance and illegal software for political gain by the country’s top political leadership. Even to export this software to non-free countries, in violation of the relevant European legislation.

In fact, in its recommendations, the PEGA Commission requires Greece to abolish all New Democracy interventions in the legislative framework from 2019 until today, restore institutional guarantees for individual freedoms, and ensure the independence of ADAE.

In other words, what do we ask and demand with our program and what did the European People’s Party vote against in yesterday’s vote.

What all democratic citizens demand, who can no longer tolerate an exposed government exposing our country internationally.

To make today’s anniversary meaningful.”
