This morning the president of PASOK-KINAL was in Grevena, the second stop of his tour of western Macedonia. Nikos Androulakis. In his speeches to journalists, he emphasized that in western Macedonia and in Greven there is a strong demographic problem pointing out that “as a state, we must support society, young couples and retirees.” At the same time, he suggestednew ECAS for 350,000 pensioners and elimination of personal difference“.
Mr. Androulakis also mentioned the issue of energy poverty, which particularly affects mountainous Greece and even more so Grevena, noting that “the green transition must be carried out in an equitable manner” so that producers, farmers, processors, municipal communities and cooperatives, the opportunity to prioritize make renewable energy parks in order to ensure low costs for their production.
He emphatically noted: “We desire a just transition that will not lead Greece to new regional inequalities at high costs that will undermine Greek production in the coming years” and ended by saying: “we need a policy of real regional development, not a policy based on strong economic interests and people supporting the current SI government.”
