Spiropoulos: We will not vote for tolerance and we do not discuss the government with those who voted for tolerance

PASOK-Movement for Change rejected what was offered Alexis Tsipras from Delphi Forum for a progressive government of tolerance from MeRA25 or KKE and PASOK as a public partner.

Secretary KPE PASOK-Movement for Change, Andreas Spyropoulos, speaking at noon with Zvezda, stressed that “Mr. Tsipras is trying to create some kind of cooperation scenario. We do not enter into any discussions and will not vote for tolerance, and we will not discuss the government that voted for tolerance. We have a positive proposal towards the Greek people, and for this reason we ask for the support and support of the Greek people in this proposal of ours.”

“We fought to keep the country in the euro and in the EU.”

Mr. Spiropoulos criticized N.D. for the many lies and fake news, for the PASOK-KINALA attitude especially from the New Democracy side. “We have made it clear in all tones – and many times – that it is not possible to discuss the formation of a government with Mr. Varoufakis, a man who even today talks about other currencies. We fought to keep the country in the euro and in the European Union during those difficult years, but Mr. Mitsotakis and New Democracy lie and take risks because they do not have a positive offer for the Greek people,” he stressed.

He insisted that the central policy of PASOK-KINALA was a “welfare state”. We are talking about health that needs to be strengthened, but Mr. Mitsotakis did not do this, giving only 2% of the Recovery Fund, and we are asking for 8% -10%. It is about private debt and strengthening real incomes, as well as protecting the first residence, which the government of Mr. Mitsotakis did not do. It is about social housing that concerns thousands of people, especially in large urban centers and especially the new generation of this place.”

When asked how there can be programmatic convergence when PASOK excludes people from the very beginning and what other priorities the movement sets, Andreas Spyropoulos replied:

“We put first of all the strengthening of our rates. If the Greek people give us an opportunity with a strong double-digit percentage, that is, if they reward us for what we have done to them as an offer, we will sit down at the dialogue table. The second step: we will discuss with the rest of the political forces in order to agree on a program that this government will have for the next four years. We are not walking blindly, as Mr. Tsipras did with Mr. Kammenos, who did not have software convergence. We are not walking blindly like Mr. Mitsotakis did, who was indeed a one-party government, but in fact, we also saw how he handled multiple crises, as well as how Maximos’ palace functioned during those four years. Typical examples are eavesdropping and circumvention of the law and all that we have encountered. Therefore, we will discuss this. And then, in the end, we will discuss, we will not impose persons who may be in the position of prime minister, in the position of leading ministers.

Regarding the PASOK-Movement for Change state vote, Mr. Spyropoulos said a decision on this would be made by the President and announced in the coming days.
