He went on to say that elections are crucial, but they are also an opportunity “for the society and the country, for the democracy and the people.” He then launched an attack on the prime minister, stating, “Let’s not let Mr. Mitsotakis’ ND overturn it with divisive rhetoric that has no other purpose than to cover up problems, culprits, and solutions.” With the help of Trump’s fabricated propaganda, which has only one goal: to muddy the waters and spread the opinion that we are all the same. Lead to apathy and abstinence, especially among young people. That if they go to the polls en masse, there is no chance of saving the regime that rules in our country. So in this battle we must not only deploy our program and arguments, but also resist the practices of Trumpism. Fake news, reputational damage, provocations, targeted attacks designed to bring into public debate any agenda other than the critical, big issues that concern Greek society.”

Alexis Tsipras reassured that “We are not all the same. And especially with Mr. Mitsotakis ND, we are not the same at all. It will be extremely difficult to compare them. They are one of a kind. We are not similar either in ideas, or in social guidelines, or in our ideas about the state, or in the ethos and style of power, or in the interests that we represent.”
