Nikos Dendias met with his Israeli counterpart Eli Cohen today in Nicosia after the trilateral meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Greece, Israel and Cyprus.

On the agenda of the bilateral meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Greece and Israel was the deepening of Greek-Israeli strategic cooperation in such areas as energy, investment, economy, defense, cooperation within international organizations, issues of the Patriarchate and the protection of Christian places of worship in the Holy Land. International and regional events were also discussed.

Earlier, during the trilateral meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Greece, Cyprus and Israel, ways to strengthen close cooperation between the three countries in a wide range of sectors (energy, response to natural disasters, environmental protection, etc.) were considered.

The trilateral meeting also discussed international and regional events, such as the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
