Two days after Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis officially announced the elections for May 21, a new poll by Metron Analysis is published, which fixes New Democracy’s lead over SYRIZA by 4.7%.

As for the undecided votes, according to the results of the poll, they make up 11.6%.

In terms of vote scores, ND gains 32.5%, followed by SYRIZA with 26.7%, with a difference of 5.8 points between the ruling party and the main opposition party. It is followed by PASOK with 11.7%, KKE with 7.1%, Hellenic Solution with 5.2%, MERA25 with 4.9% and the Greeks with 4.7%.

According to the survey, for Greek society, the country’s biggest problem remains economy (24%). This is followed by tidiness (19%), politics (17%), insecurity (7%) and unemployment (6%).

Regarding the nature of governments, 49% of respondents want governments to be cooperative and 48% to be independent.

Finally, in terms of eligibility for the office of prime minister, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis remains first – and with an increase from the previous poll – with 36%, Alexis Tsipras scored 17% and Nikos Androulakis 6%.
