Nikos Pappas was unanimously found guilty by the Special Court of conducting a tender for television licenses, as was Christos Kalogritsas, who was tried as an accomplice of a former minister on charges of dereliction of duty.
The decision is irrevocable and cannot be appealed.
“The Special Court found Nikos Papas guilty of dereliction of duty. The former minister’s attempt to turn a purely criminal case into a political one failed miserably. The truth had to get through the courts, and this indeed happened in relation to our director, Mr. Christos Kalogritsa. Today’s unanimous decision – this is an excuse, because it is the full and final proof that he really spoke the truth.”
