New video from the episode that took place on January 5 near Pharmacywhen a Turkish boatman was chasing a Coast Guard vessel, trying to ram it, saw a light.
As the Coast Guard announced at the time, the Greek vessel was performing a custom service to identify three Turkish fishing vessels that were fishing in a sea area within Greek territorial waters, southeast of Farmakonisi, when it was harassed by a Turkish vessel that was making dangerous embolization maneuvers.
The crew of the coast guard patrol ship then fired warning shots in a safe area, and the Turkish Aktayoros left the scene, heading east towards the Turkish coast.
As can be seen in the pictures published by “Democracy”, the Turkish boat began to dangerously approach the Greek ship. The Coast Guard officers then began firing into the air.
