In particular, the program will include a general stage of study with two sections (ESSDA graduates and other civil servants) and a special stage with three sections of specialization (lawyers, public policy analysts, i.e. managers who process statistical data, information). , research and measurement for documented policy making – and digital policy analytics, where trainees will have the opportunity to specialize their knowledge, acquiring valuable resources for their future careers as politicians in the Greek administration). “Courses include hands-on activities that directly impact the improvement of citizens’ daily lives, such as the development of citizen-centric digital services, the application of lawmaking methods, the protection and management of personal data, as well as the implementation of digital innovations, modeling and reengineering of digital processes, advanced technologies , artificial intelligence, blockchain and cybersecurity”, says EKDDA President Evi Dramaliotis “K”..

The complex process is evidenced by the fact that the entrance written test, held in December 2022, was conducted remotely online using the most advanced artificial intelligence (AI) tools, which became a pilot project for further use in the critical procedures of the Greek state. The process involved 642 highly formally qualified candidates, of whom 200 qualified for the final stage. “The contestants were asked to answer an extremely difficult multiple-choice test, developed according to a special methodology. In particular, during the two-hour exam, candidates answered one hundred questions requiring critical and analytical thinking, as well as specialized knowledge, which are divided into 25 general questions and 25 specialty questions (lawyer, digital policy analyst and public policy analyst), with a weighted coefficient of a specialist depending on the specialty,” says Ms. Dramalioti. Upon completion of the program, certified successful candidates will be placed in the core of governance, i.e. the Government Presidium, the General Secretariat for Coordination and the General Secretariat for Legal and Parliamentary Affairs, as well as in 17 ministries.

Case Study for the State

The innovative process, which is being carried out for the first time and is intended to be a case study with the ultimate goal of its wider application, the assessment of the needs of the state, is part of the staffing law (4622/19).
