This year, members of cultural associations and clubs from all over Greece sang New Year’s carols to the prime minister and political leaders.
In particular, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and his daughter Sophia listened to New Year’s carols and traditional Mani songs at Maximos Palace.
After that, Kyriakos Mitsotakis exchanged wishes for a happy New Year and New Year’s gifts with the members of the Apantachu Maniot “Mani” Union.
Nikos Androulakis heard carols from Crete and Epirus.
At the office of Harilaou Trikoupis, Mr. Androulakis welcomed the members of the Pan-Epirine Confederation of Greece, who danced the traditional goals and presented the Epireonian concept to the President of the PASOK-Movement for Change.
“I hope that 2023 will bring positive changes for the place and humanity. Last year, unfortunately, we experienced a war in the heart of Europe with thousands of dead and millions of refugees, as well as a new economic crisis. We must at these moments demonstrate the maximum degree of solidarity and consistency. The political system must prove by its actions that it fights for the public interest, for the national interest with realism. I hope that the new year will bring change and that we will have the strength to serve them for the good of the country,” said Mr. Androulakis.
“All together, let’s fight the big battle and let the green sun rise again. We will fight hard, young, young, old, to bring change to Greece again,” was the slogan dedicated to Nikos Androulakis by the Petroupoli Cretan Association.
Song from Epirus for Dimitris Koutsoubas
Today, on New Year’s Eve, at the headquarters of the Central Committee in Perissos, the All Pipeline Confederation of Greece sang New Year’s hymns to the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the KKE Dimitris Koutsoubas.
In fact, Dimitris Koutsoubas danced himself.
Dimitris Koutsoubas then stated, “Happy birthday! Happy New Year! The dawn of May 2023 is more hopeful. The Greek people can and must intervene in events, become the main actors in these events through their struggle. Since there are no political “saviors”, political “messiahs”, they finished us off. Only the people can save the people on the path of overthrow. And on this path the KKE will be ahead of its struggle, its struggle together with the people. Happy birthday, have a nice year. All strength and health.
