Floros: Whoever makes the fatal mistake of “arriving” is waiting for a new marathon ahead

A message for those who wish to consult Greek sovereignty has been sent by the head of GEETHA General Konstantinos Florosin his daily order for the army, on the occasion of tomorrow’s celebration of the Day of the Armed Forces.

“We want peace and are working for it … But whoever makes the fatal mistake of “coming”, let him know in advance that he will find before him a new marathon, a new Salamis and a new 731, and I am sure that Greek weapons will again be glorified, giving fight like so many times in the past. Even for a grain of earth, for a rock, for a Greek stone. Because they all exist, because we paid a big blood tax to have them. Heavy, very heavy,” he stressed.

At the same time, AGEETHA praised the high morale, professionalism, perseverance, will and strength of the Greek army, stating that these characteristics “constitute the best guarantee that Greece will remain strong, free and independent, no matter who threatens us, no matter who decided to come at whatever time they chose.”

“We have successfully met all the challenges”

In the same context, he recalled that from the day he assumed the duties of the head of the Greek Orthodox Church, “we successfully coped with all the challenges, first of all unprecedented hybrid attack on the border of Evros and then her questioning our sovereign rights in the Eastern Mediterranean, during which the Armed Forces were mobilized and acted immediately, massively and, most importantly, effectively and deterrently. But we didn’t stop there.

“The connection of our operational activities is carried out daily at the national and international levels, on land, at sea and in the air, strengthening our interdisciplinary and cross-functional synergy with allies, friends and partners, gaining experience and valuable knowledge that the Armed Forces thus make more ready than ever – and this is of great importance, because it confirms the timeless axiom that has prevailed for centuries: “If you want peace, prepare for war.”

“This is what I wrote down as my instruction in my first order on the day I took up my duties, and I reverently follow it. And this is the only recipe for lasting peace that we aspire to as a nation. Preparations for war will certainly lead to lasting peace, especially in areas like ours that are rife with challenges, issues and neo-revisions. There is no other recipe, at least I don’t see it.”

Greece strengthened by military cooperation

At the same time, the head of GEETHA referred to military cooperation Greece with the countries of the wider region, which makes our country more and more powerful at the core of EU decisions. and NATO as a pillar of security and stability in the wider region of the Balkans, the Eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East.

“The conclusion of strategic defense agreements, which we are implementing as part of an unprecedented renewal of our international partnerships and our defense presence in the region, has undeniable value for those who know and observe. And there are many. They are all,” he said.

“Furthermore, the readiness of the Armed Forces is, to the greatest extent possible, the starting point for a multi-dimensional social work offering that is in no way inferior to their core mission,” he further noted.

Addressing the officers of the armed forces, the commander of the Greek armed forces urged “with the same determination, composure and at the same time steadfastness to give, if necessary and whenever necessary, with an indomitable and unyielding impulse, the only answer that the Greeks give when their existence is threatened. This is written in your DNA, this was given to us by our ancestors, this is known to everyone! A great omen, he’s protecting his country.”
