Citizens’ Protection Minister responded to the attack he received from Turkish Deputy Interior Minister Ismail Tsatakli Takis Theodorikakos.

“Shameless are those who barbarously take advantage of unfortunate people, illegal immigrants, and those who poison relations between our two peoples,” Mr. Theodorikakos wrote in a social media post, responding to claims by Tsatakli, who called the Greek minister “shameless” and “shameless”.

“Greece, from a position of principle, opposes any form of terrorism, and all mankind knows this. Insults and slander of representatives of the Turkish Ministry of Internal Affairs remain unheeded,” summarizes Takis Theodorikakos.

Earlier on Twitter, there was a Turkish deputy minister who made incredible accusations while commenting on the publication of yesterday’s statements by Mr. Theodorikakos on protecting the Greek borders.

“It is clear that you are guarding the border! It is clear that you are guarding the border from the Lavrio PKK Camp! From FETO members you accept! You kill innocents, you open weapons to terrorists,” Ismail Tsatakali wrote on Twitter.

Responding to statements by Turkish colleague Suleiman Soylu that “if the perpetrators of the Istanbul attack had not been arrested in Greece,” Mr. Theodorikakos said yesterday that Greece is protecting its borders and will never allow terrorists to infiltrate.
