In a Twitter post, the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee said: “I congratulate the Greek authorities for rescuing 92 people found near the country’s border with Turkey. I fully support the investigation into the inhumane treatment of these migrants, including the alleged role of the Turkish military in their mistreatment.”

It is recalled that Greece is internationalizing the incident with 92 immigrants, and the Minister of Immigration and Asylum, Notis Mitarakis, is bringing this issue to the UN and the European Commission.
At the same time, Citizens Protection Minister Takis Theodorikakos informed European Commissioner for Home Affairs Ylva Johansson and his 27 EU colleagues in a letter earlier in the week.
