Asked about the serious allegations he is making and what evidence he has, the USR leader said Bode was making “dedicated” bets.

“I saw the case of BMW for the Traffic Police, there was another case where the specifications were changed and the same friend of President Iohannis participated as the only tenderer with cars for the Border Police. Who knows how many more there will be, and here we once again appeal to the competent authorities, to the prosecutor’s office, with a request to shed light on these cases. We cannot have an interior minister who conducts tenders with dedication, who is involved in these corrupt practices, because it jeopardizes Romania’s accession to Schengen,” Drula said.

Interior Minister Lucian Bode presented last Thursday the findings of the Control Authority in the case of the purchase of police cars, claiming that the auction was correct and USR leader Catalin Drula, “deliberately misinforming”.
