While in Japan with Prime Minister Nicolae Chuke, PSD leader Marcel Ciolaku says he told Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida that he wants one of the stations on the future metro line to Otopeni to be named after the former premier Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
In a message posted on PSD’s Facebook page, Čolaku said he told Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kisida that “Romania and Japan are obliged to continue all projects started both politically and economically.”
- “The most important task is to accelerate the formalization of the Strategic Partnership between our countries, a strong partnership based on four main directions: political, security, economic, and cultural and scientific.
- I am convinced that this Partnership will strengthen Romania’s direction to become a strong and reliable partner of Japan, both in the development of bilateral relations and in terms of its relations with NATO and the European Union.
- I also conveyed to Prime Minister Kishida that I would like one of the stations that will make up the future metro line to Otopeni to be named after former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe as a sign of respect and appreciation for the hard work that he contributed to the strengthening of relations between Romania and Japan,” wrote Čolaku on Facebook.
Marcel Cholaku and Nicolae Chuke are in Japan from Monday to Wednesday, where they are taking part in the state funeral organized in honor of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
