Athens responds to Tsavusoglu: rhetorical paroxysms of domestic consumption

He explained Cavusoglu’s rhetoric as “domestic consumption or an attempt to build reality on fiction.”

In the same context, he reiterated that in each case, “the government is responding as it should and where it should, as appropriate”, stressing that “our country is a responsible, decisive factor in stability.”

Provocative statements by Cavusoglu

It is recalled that in his statements, the Turkish Foreign Minister “warned” Greece not to embark on an adventure in the interests of others.

“The Greek still has an itch. If you start an adventure on behalf of others, you will suffer the consequences, as it was in the past. This is a warning to Greece,” he stressed.

“951 years ago, at the Battle of Magikert, we made Anatolia our homeland. This is the spirit that defended the Motherland for 100 years, the same spirit exists today,” he said, continuing in a particularly aggressive manner:

“Therefore, gather your brains, come to your senses … This is what they say mainly in Greece. Don’t become an instrument of others, don’t keep challenging. Because Turkey’s friendship is good, but its enmity is tragic.”
