Marcel Çolaku announced on Tuesday that public services, churches and Metrorex should benefit from the cap and compensation of energy prices, for which he will propose in parliament an amendment to the resolution passed by the government the other day, reports Agerpres.

“I am firmly convinced that we will make amendments and discussions in the coalition. Religious institutions were not caught, churches, which is a mistake. I firmly believe that both my colleagues and colleagues in the coalition will complete the order. Utilities – Again it was a big escape. This will lead to a progressive increase in the price of water, because most of the water comes through the pumps,” said Marcel Cholaku.

“We have to see the impact in the Ministry of Finance. Regardless of how much the budget has to bear, we cannot allow the price of utility services to rise. This is also Metrorex, which receives a subsidy from the Romanian state through the Ministry of Transport, so we ourselves are stealing the hat. Increase the subsidy, it’s better for the state to intervene and see how you fare with energy prices,” he added.

The SDP leader also cited the example of public transport with trolleybuses and trams, which should take advantage of the provisions of the resolution, and emphasized that its amendment is a priority of the current session of the parliament.
