“It is clear that we are facing a difficult winter, as the gas supplied by Russia is becoming less and less, gas is becoming more and more expensive on the international market. However, the 15% savings approach is correct. We should aim to invest in renewable resources, but save wisely where possible. Economy should be done in a straight line. We should not think that we want someone to be in the cold, and there is no gas for industry,” the head of state said.

The President explained that according to the analysis of the Ministry of Energy, “for Romania, the economy is possible, feasible, sustainable.” “Here we are not talking about a 15% reduction in consumption compared to what we have now, but a 15% reduction compared to the average of the past years,” Klaus Iohannis explained at a joint conference with the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, held in prison in the Kotrochen Palace.
