According to the latest Avangarde poll conducted on behalf of the PSD, the PSD is growing in Romanian voting options, coming in first place in July with 37%, two percentage points more than the previous month. In a distant second place is the PNL, with 23%, also up three percentage points from June.

AUR remains in third place at 11%, but is down one percentage point from the previous measurement.

In July, the UDR remained at large with 9%, as well as the UDMR with 5%.

Marcel Cholaku, first on the trust list

Marcel Ciolacu, leader of the PSD, tops the list of politicians Romanians say they trust the most, with 25% accounting for him. He is followed by Prime Minister Nicolae Chuke, head of the NLP, with 18% and President Klaus Iohannis with 15%.

AUR President George Simion is fourth with 11% on the trust list, while USR’s Cătălin Drula is listed with 9% of respondents.

The Avangarde poll was conducted July 22-31 in telephone mode on a sample of 902 people and has an error of +/- 3.4%.
