Due to the availability of antiviral pills for COVID-19 disease and the EOPYY home delivery procedure, which continues uninterrupted, the Ministry of Health, with the constant support of hospital pharmacists, informs that in emergency cases, citizens can receive treatment directly from hospital pharmacies.
A prerequisite is the approval of the antiviral treatment for Covid-19 by the competent committee, and then the prescription of the treatment by the attending physician.
Antiviral treatment for Covid-19 can only be received by a relative or friend of the patient during scheduled appointment hours upon presentation of the recipient’s ID, the patient’s social security number, and a prescription number. To enter the pharmacies of ESY hospitals, the Rapid Test is not required, the use of a protective mask is of course necessary.
