After much speculation by his fans, Mr. Quentin Tarantino revealed that his new film “Film critic” talks about film criticism in a pornographic magazine.

Speaking to Deadline, the director said the upcoming project will enter “pre-pre-production” this June and that he is looking for a 35-year-old actor to play the lead role.

Tarantino said the film, set in 1977 Southern California, would be based on the real life of the critic, whose works the director read as a teenager.

“There was a rather interesting page in the magazine devoted to cinema. He wrote about popular films. I think he was a very good critic. He was so cynical and very funny. He was very rude. He cursed and made offensive comments. He wrote as if he were 55 years old, although in fact he is 30+. He died shortly before his 40th birthday. The cause of death was not clear, but now that I’m looking into his life, I believe he died of complications due to his alcohol addiction.”

For the director’s upcoming film, the magazine will be titled “Pop Star Pages.” Tarantino himself describes the man on whom his film is based as “a man who lived intensely but was never truly famous.”

As for the casting, Tarantino said he was looking for a 30-year-old American, adding that it would be someone he hadn’t worked with before. “I haven’t decided yet, but it will be someone aged 35. Definitely a new hero for me. I mean someone who I think will do well.”

The director and screenwriter has stated many times that he wants to make a certain number of films in his career. In particular, he wants to make a total of ten films or retire at the age of 60. He made nine films (if you count Kill Bill as one film) and celebrated his 60th birthday.
