American production company 20th Century Studios has released a new trailer for the upcoming film “Avatar: Path of Waterabout a month before it hits theaters.
The fantasy film is a sequel to 2009’s Avatar directed by James Cameron. In the second installment of the film series, “evil” Colonel Miles Quaritch, who returns in one form or another, finds himself once again confronted by Pandora’s Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) and her friend Jake Sully (Sam Worthington). .
“A story about family, families trying to stay together and how far we are all willing to go to protect ourselves and the place we live. It’s based a lot on James Cameron’s family and also how vulnerable you are when you have kids,” actress Sigourney Weaver said in an earlier interview with the Variety website.
The cast includes new actors such as Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, Edie Falco and more.
Cameron is back to write, produce and edit Avatar: The Way of the Water.
