
We recently saw Baz Luhrmann tell the story of Elvis Presley through his lens in the Elvis movie. The series seems to be getting a movie now about the ex-wife of the king of rock and roll. Priscilla Presley, hand Sofia Coppola.
The film will be based on Presley’s successful autobiography. “Elvis and Me” which was released in 1985 and is expected to start filming later this year in Toronto.
The film will be titled simply “Priscilla” and will play a major role Kylie Spenny, and Elvis Presley will play Jacob Elordi. The narrative will follow the period in which “Elvis” is also set.
The film will be distributed in theaters in the US A24 and in the rest of the world from Stage 6 Films/Sony Pictures International Release.
This is Sofia Coppola’s third collaboration with A24 after “On The Rocks” and “The Bling Ring”.
