According to The Guardian, 40-year-old Jason Alexander, who was briefly married to Britney Spears, was convicted of trespassing and assault after showing up uninvited at the pop star’s wedding in June.
According to Ventura County prosecutors, Alexander pleaded not guilty to two charges brought against him by a California court.
On June 9, Spears married Sam Asghari at her home in Thousand Oaks, California.
Among the wedding guests were Selena Gomez, Drew Barrymore, Paris Hilton and Madonna.
Alexander, Spears’ childhood friend, whom she was married to for less than three days in 2004, made an uninvited appearance before the ceremony during an Instagram Live broadcast.
According to testimony at a preliminary hearing, he entered the home and went upstairs to Spears’ bedroom, where she was getting ready for the wedding.
According to the prosecutor’s office, Oleksandr refused to leave the apartment, beat the guard who tried to take him out, and broke the door. The judge forbade him to come closer than 100 meters to Spears.
A Ventura County judge sentenced him to 64 days in jail, which he has already served. The prosecutor’s office dropped criminal prosecution and charges of vandalism.
Alexander’s lawyer Sandra Bisignani previously said in court that there is no evidence that he intended to harm Britney Spears. (News.ro)
