Joker 2 will star Joaquin Phoenix, who will reprise his role as the titular character that won him the Oscar for Best Actor in the original 2019 film.

The director and producer of “Joker”, which was nominated for an Oscar in the “best film” category and received a statuette for “best original music”, was Todd Phillips, who wrote the script together with Scott Silver, news.ro notes.

According to a representative of the studio, the film tells the story of the DC Comics superhero, the sworn enemy of Batman.
