Electricity production from photovoltaic panels topped 1,100 MW around noon on Friday, according to Transelectrica. In total, renewable sources provide 3,500 MW, that is, half of the country’s production, and 1,300 MW is exported.
As of 1:00 p.m., the photovoltaic panels produced 1,142 MW.
These are only large parks sent by Transelectrica. But to these is added the production of Prosumer panels, which have a capacity of 1500 MW, but whose production is not measured.
According to the publication e-nergia.ro, at the beginning of March in Romania, the production of electricity from photovoltaic panels exceeded the threshold of 1000 MW for the first time.
In total, at the mentioned time, the production of renewable energy amounted to about 3,500 MW (1,200 hydro, 1,150 wind and 1,142 photovoltaic), that is, more than half of the national production (6,590 MW).
The other half was generated from nuclear (1,365 MW), hydrocarbon (1,010 MW) and coal (544 MW) sources.
At the same time, our country exported more than 1300 MW.
