On Friday afternoon, the Ministry of Finance published a draft that intends to extend the period of non-application of fines to e-accounts until May 31. It is proposed to extend by 2 months the period during which sanctions are not applied for non-compliance with the deadline of 5 working days for the transfer of invoices in the national system regarding the electronic invoice RO e-Factura, accordingly, this act will not be subject to sanctions in the period from January 1 to May 31, 2024, according to the Fund Note accompanying the project.
The business environment demanded the extension of the period during which sanctions are not applied for non-compliance with the deadline for submitting invoices in the national RO e-Invoice system. An extension of this period by 2 months was deemed appropriate to allow taxpayers to continue to adapt their procedures/systems for the transmission of invoices in the national electronic invoicing system RO e-Factura without incurring penalties.
We remind you that NANA has started sending notifications to taxpayers who did not use the RO e-Invoice system. Such information is posted on social networks. In some cases, these are companies that have uploaded their invoices late, so they have a corresponding index. Therefore, in such cases it should be treated as information.
Also, from May 20, 2024, the project also provides for the introduction of a regime for marking excise stamps and tobacco-containing products intended for inhalation without burning, similar to the one that applies to processed tobacco products.
