On Wednesday, the results of the competition for the position of dean of the Academy of Economic Sciences were announced. Deans are elected through a competition organized by the rector of ASE, teachers and researchers of the faculty or any specialized faculty in the country or abroad can participate in the competition.

Candidates approved by faculty councils were heard by a committee consisting of: the rector-president, vice-rectors of the faculty, director of CSUD, a student delegated by student representatives in the ASE Senate, and professors and teachers appointed by the rector.

After the completion of the selection process, the deans are approved by the University Senate and appointed to the position by the rector’s decision. After the appointment, the deans appoint their deputies, establishing their powers in three areas: teaching activities; Scientific research and international relations and Student life and connection with the economic and social environment.

Competition results:

1. Faculty of Business Administration, with teaching in foreign languages: According to the hierarchy of candidates Mr. Prof. Dr. Tenase Stamule elected to the position of dean of the faculty of business administration with teaching in foreign languages.

2. Faculty of Administration and Public Management – According to the hierarchy of candidates, p. Prof. Dr. Nika Elvira elected to the position of dean of the Faculty of Administration and Public Administration.

3. Bucharest Business School (BBS) – According to the hierarchy of candidates Mr. Professor Dr. Strat Vasile Alexandru elected to the position of Dean of the Faculty of Bucharest Business School.

4. Faculty of Business and Tourism – According to the hierarchy of candidates, p. Professor Dr. Sigu Gabriela elected to the position of dean of the Faculty of Business and Tourism.
