According to sources from the Ministry of Finance, ANAF has two new vice presidents, respectively Ionescu Florentin and Dragic Alexandru. Sandu Costea, who until today was the only vice president, was left without this position.
On December 30, during a press conference, Minister of Finance Marcel Bolosh criticized institutions subordinate to the ministry that “boast” of achieved plans, citing the example of the Customs Department. Bolosh said that after Epiphany, he will ask the prime minister to fire several heads of institutions such as the Customs Service and the National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF).
“I can no longer tolerate embarrassing praise and I tell you directly, with subject and predicate, about the Romanian customs service, that it has achieved its plan of one and a half billion customs duties. Except for this! I give them the bad news: they will start the next year with five billion lei per month. If they do not make their plan, they go home, there is no other way out, and I say this directly and harshly: this is the goal with which we start negotiations with the Romanian customs service,” Bolos said.
He announced that he would demand a change in the positions of some ANAF and customs officials:
“After the Epiphany, I will speak to the public and ask the Prime Minister to dismiss several managers from the most important institutions for Romania, and here I mean the Romanian Customs Service, also with subject and predicate, I say this, and the National Agency. fiscal administration. Of course, here I do not want to condition anything or appear rude in relations with the Prime Minister, we have correct institutional relations, but these are too important institutions for the Romanian state, on which the functioning of the Romanian state depends. , and that is why I am intolerant of inaction, engagement and disorder,” he clarified.
