Samsung has released its top-of-the-line Galaxy S24 phones, and two of the three models have increased battery capacity and a slightly larger screen. Samsung is pushing for new AI applications in the S24 range in areas such as real-time translation, photo editing or web search.
Samsung Galaxy S24 costs in Romania from 4,499 lei, Galaxy S24+ from 5,699 lei and Galaxy S24 Ultra from 7,199 lei.
What has changed in the Galaxy S24 range compared to the Galaxy S23
The Galaxy S24 has a 6.2-inch screen, the S24+ has a 6.7-inch screen, and the S24 Ultra has a 6.8-inch screen. In the first two models, the screen is 0.1 inches larger than in the S23 models released a year ago. The S24 Ultra can also be used with the S-Pen stylus.

An important detail: increased the battery capacity by 100 mAh on the S24, to 4000 mAh, and by 200 mAh on the “medium” to 4900 mAh. The top model Ultra remains at 5000 mAh.
The S24 weighs 168 grams, the S24+ is 29 grams heavier than the average, and the S24 Ultra is 232 grams. Compared to the S23, the change in this aspect is minor. There are no significant changes in design or charging speed.

Samsung says all three models have more impact- and scratch-resistant glass, while the S24 Ultra has a titanium body. The processing is better, so the battery life is also increased compared to the previous generation, the company promises.

The Galaxy S24 promises many AI applications
More than ever before with the launch of the Galaxy S, Samsung has paid a lot of attention to applications with artificial intelligence, which can be used for photo editing, real-time translation or fast web searches, among other things. Another AI application is the real-time translation of phone conversations, an application that is available in 13 languages, and Samsung promises that it will be in Romanian in the future.
The Galaxy S24 will also have a photo editing suggestions feature, essentially a feature that will give you ideas on what you can change in an image to make it more “Instagrammable” for example.

There will also be a “creative editing” feature, where you can move elements or people in the image, and the free space is automatically “filled” by the AI software with elements created from scratch. For example, phone software can automatically place an audience in the stands of a stadium, shrink or enlarge various elements, or fill in various gaps left in an image by changes made by users to that image.

Samsung representatives say that this year in Romania, the Ultra model was the bestseller of the S23 line. Black and gray are the most popular colors, but other colors such as green and lavender are also gaining popularity.
The S24 and S24+ are charged with a 25W adapter, while the S24 Ultra is charged with 45W.
