Some customers of Hidroelectrica discovered at the beginning of the year that they received offers from the energy company with figures different from what they expected. More precisely, the company did not update the distribution tariffs, which were changed by NARE from January 1. In addition, provisions from variable price offers were mistakenly inserted into fixed price offers, causing confusion among consumers. Customers discovered the errors and reported them on social media, showing people’s growing interest in their utility bills and how they are calculated.

“New bumblebee of the Hidroelectrica brand. The offers sent these days with a new supply component price of 0.28 lei/kWh for E-Distributie Muntenia include a distribution service tariff of 0.16826 lei/kWh, resulting in a total price including VAT of 0.66943 lei/kWh (compared to 0.72 now).

The ANRE page shows a distribution tariff of 0.23986 lei/kWh, resulting in a final tariff of 0.77 lei/kWh, which is correct considering the new supply component price. Are those from Hidroelectrica who send emails with new offers that mislead consumers not being checked?” writes a Facebook user in the Hidroelectrica customer group.

He also shares a screenshot of the proposal, which shows that the numbers next to the allocation rates are incorrect.

When asked by HotNews.ro, company representatives admitted that this was a mistake and corrected the offer on the site.

Hidroelectrica made an incorrect provision in the fixed price contracts for residential consumers

In another post, the consumer points to the fact that the offer he received from Hidroelectrica for a fixed price contract contained a provision that after the end of the restriction period, the price would depend on the PZU (market place of the OPCOM energy exchange).

“From the moment of termination of the application of the provisions of the limit legislation, the price of the contract will be: the supply price, established by using for the electricity purchase component the average monthly arithmetic daily prices realized on PZU OPCOM in the month of consumption +0.073 lei/kW-h” – the bizarre provision states .

Another client received an offer with such a clause back in October.

The representatives of Hidroelectrica reported that this time there was also a mistake.

“This is a dynamic offer contract provision. Appeared by mistake in bids for fixed-price contracts. In no case will we tie the price for domestic consumers to quotations on the stock exchange,” they explained.

In general, the discussions in the profile groups show that people have begun to pay more attention to the proposals on the energy market and to the legislation, to be more active and understand that this can reduce their bills.
