The Ministry of Finance has published a new list of excise taxes for 2024. Thus, the price of fuel will increase from January 1. We remind you that the new financial table is actually an application of the provisions of the Ordinance on trains, which provides for an increase in excise taxes on gasoline and diesel fuel by 50% of the increase in consumer prices from January 1 and by another 50% from July 1, 2024.
How much will the prices of gasoline and diesel fuel rise from January 1, 2024
Attention, we are talking about an increase in the excise duty. The price can also change due to the market situation, as it was before.
Unleaded gasoline: 29 bans/liter
Leaded gasoline: 35 bans/liter
Diesel fuel: 26 ban/l
If we look at the price monitor, we can see that today a liter of standard gasoline in Bucharest is 6.5 lei/liter (it varies a bit from one place to another). Thus, if this price were to be maintained, it would cost 6.79 lei/liter from January 1, 2024.
The price of diesel is almost 7 per liter, and at some gas stations it is a little more. If this price is taken into account, then from January 1 it will increase to 7.26 bani/liter.
Higher excise duty from July 1, 2024
Unleaded gasoline: 43 bani/liter
Leaded gasoline: 50 g/l
Diesel fuel: 39 ban/l
