The Ministry of Economy will begin the restructuring process demanded by Prime Minister Çolaku to cut costs, 35 management positions will be cut without layoffs. “There are more support services than directorates that shape state policy. When you have less than 600 people to have almost 5%, 29 people in HR, that’s not right. There is a disproportion somewhere,” Minister Radu Oprya said on Wednesday.
According to the minister, the restructuring plan, which will soon be submitted for public discussion, is aimed at reducing 49 vacancies, as well as reducing management positions in the Ministry and Agencies for small and medium-sized businesses.
- “42 vacancies will be cancelled. In addition, 48 management positions will remain from 83 at the moment, measures that will affect the Ministry of Economy and agencies for SMEs, which will be restructured. Of the 9 agencies that currently exist, 5 will remain, but they will not disappear, but will be merged.” This was announced on Wednesday by the Minister of Radu Oprya.
He denied that there would be cuts as a result of this restructuring plan, saying that people currently in senior positions who would be cut would remain in the ministry in senior positions.
