
Young workers (age groups 35-39 years, respectively 30-34 years) have the highest salaries (5,551 lei, respectively 5,535 lei gross), and men in the age group 35-39 years have achieved the highest gross incomes (7,231 lei) Research shows this National Institute of Statistics, published on Wednesday.
About 40% of employees achieved a gross income in the range of 3001-6000 lei. Men in the 35-39 age group achieved the highest gross income (7,231 lei).
A quarter of employees have a gross income below 3,001 lei (27.7% of male employees, 22.0% of female employees, respectively), statistics show.
The share of workers who received a gross income of more than 6,000 lei is about a third for both men and women.
Women’s incomes were lower than men’s incomes by about 300 lei.
The distribution by types of economic activity shows that the largest number of employees worked in the manufacturing industry (20.7%), respectively, in trade (16.6%). Men also held a significant share in construction (14.6% of the number of employed men), respectively, in transport and storage (10.9% of the number of employed men).
More than three-quarters of health and social care workers, respectively, and education were women.
Employees who worked in the field of information and communications had the highest basic gross salary, but also gross income (11,172 lei of basic gross salary, respectively 12,956 lei of gross income).
At the opposite pole, with the lowest basic salary and realized gross income, were employees who worked in hotels and restaurants (3,248 lei gross basic salary, respectively 3,650 lei gross realized income).
In extractive industries, namely the production and supply of electricity and heat, gas, hot water and air conditioning, the gross income achieved exceeded the basic wage by more than 60%.
The lowest gains above the basic gross salary were recorded in hotels and restaurants (+12.4%), respectively, in other types of services (+13.6%).
Men in the 35-39 age group achieved the highest gross income (7,231 lei).
Workers in the 15-19 age group had the main gross wages and earned about 45% lower gross income than workers in the 35-39 age group.
Workers older than 45 years who achieved slightly lower mean values of the two indicators were included.
Employees in the 50-54 age group achieved a gross income that was 30% higher than the gross salary they received.
