
HotNews.ro was the most cited online press site in Romania between October 1 and 31, 2023, according to a study conducted by mediaTRUST on the media in our country.
At its peak on October 24, HotNews.ro was at the top of the list of the most cited Internet sources, while other newsrooms cited our journalists’ articles 249 times.
The topic related to the increase in the number of Romanians with higher education going to work abroad by almost 70,000, according to the data of the 2021 census seen by HotNews.ro journalists, became the most cited material of the team HotNews.ro in the month of October.
G4media (231 citations), Cancan (198), Economedia (178) and sport.ro (167) follow in the ranking of the most cited online press sources.
Fanatik, the most cited source in the media in Romania
Interestingly, in October, Fanatik took first place in the overall ranking of the most cited sources in the mass media, with more than 600 citations from other journalists in the country. Next on the list is Digi 24, with the station being mentioned by other media almost 600 times and reaching a peak of citations on October 4.
Rounding out the podium is Antena 3 CNN, which has been quoted almost 500 times by other editorials. Digi Sport was cited 317 times, while Adevărul recorded 278 citations. HotNews.ro ranks sixth, cited 249 times, followed by Gazeta Sporturilor, which was cited 240 times by other news outlets.
G4media.ro is in 8th place, cited in 231 articles, and Pro TV has 211 citations. The top radio station RFI closes, which is quoted 202 times by other journalists of the country.
