
Competition for the construction of a bitumen terminal in Constanta is increasing, as more companies are interested in partnering with the state-owned company Oil Terminal for this investment. Tamal Trading and Logistics DMCC, headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, has also been added to the list of bidding investors, according to an Oil Terminal press release.
Socar Petroleum SA, controlled by the SOCAR Group from Azerbaijan, was added to the list last week.
Thus, the number of companies that have passed the selection procedure for this terminal has increased to eight.
List of companies that want to build a bitumen terminal in Constanta
Participants of the procedure who must submit tender offers:
1. Takida Terminal SRL;
2. Euronova Energies SA;
3. Frial S.A.;
4. OMV Petrom SA;
5. Trafigura Pte Ltd;
6. Vitaro Energy SRL;
7. Socar Petroleum SA;
8. Tamal Trading and Logistics DMCC
Oil Terminal recently started the selection process for the development of a bitumen terminal in the Port of Constanta. “This is a strategic investment for Romania, as well as for future efforts to restore Ukraine,” said Energy Minister Sebastian Burduia.
In the next period, meetings will be organized with each of them to determine the most acceptable solutions for establishing a partnership for the construction of a bitumen terminal, and the firm proposals received will be submitted for analysis to the General Meeting of Shareholders.
