Distributors connect an average of 191 prosumers per day. But they cannot develop the network to get more because their investment plans have been approved by ANRE and cannot be changed. In addition, the free connections previously promised by the authorities have disrupted all the plans of the companies.

“Prosumers are the star of the year, in a good way. There are several explanations: the high price of energy carriers, legislative incentives, grants – all this led to this wave, and that is very good. Distributors connect an average of 191 prosumers per day. , in recent months,” said Dana Dereban, executive director of the Federation of Associations of Energy Utility Companies (ACUE), during a profile conference organized yesterday by Profit.ro.

She says that distributors should be left with the choice of how they invest, depending on market policy.

“If we see encouragement in the area of consumers, let us stay in the investment plans to determine what we should do. In the investment planning created by ANRE, according to the existing methodology, know that there are many It would not be a problem if these plans were integrated with plans in the field of energy production,” said Dareban.

“Free Internet Connection: Nonsense. Nothing is free”

Prosumers are a new category of market participants. They should be called to a discussion, to know what the law says.

“And they have questions about communication and how it works, there are many interpretations. I often hear that ‘I put it into the system.’ Well, you can’t put it into the system any way you want, without control like in the store for you to bag as much as you want. There are certain system standards. For example, when there is an excess at a certain time, prosumers are cut off by the system,” added Daraban.

She reminded that over the past two years, the regulations on joining the networks have been amended 17 times.

“This fake concept of free connectivity has been introduced which is absolutely harmful. This is a concept that has been testing the distribution business for a long time. First come, first served, no fees. Let’s face it: there is no such thing as free. If we connect someone for free, those costs are socialized and then shared among all customers.

Now we see all kinds of initiatives, one more harmful than the other, on the side of this concept of free connection, which is nonsense, it only interferes with the investment plan and brings down all the works”, – says the representative of the industry.
