Cholaku: I have no problem with threats from the food industry
Prime Minister Marcel Cholaku announced on Monday that Thursday’s executive session will include an emergency resolution that sets new gambling rules.
“I will also move forward on gambling regulation. I have no problem with threats from the food industry, and on Thursday we will issue an emergency decree, according to which all operators will be obliged to have their tax offices in Romania,” said Čolaku.
According to him, the law in the parliament, which provides for the removal of gambling halls outside the population centers, will enter the regime of rapid adoption.
“I am convinced that public authorities will shed light on how these middlemen want to pressure certain politicians to make decisions in favor of this industry, as it has been in the past. As it was during the pandemic, when the gambling mafia sat at the table of the government. Bakeries were open all over Romania, while churches and hospitals were closed,” Ciolacu said.
