Grid connection rules need to be reworked and simplified because even distribution experts no longer understand what they are supposed to do, says Dana Dareban, chief executive of the Association of Energy Companies (ACUE).

“The accession regulations must be rewritten, because there are so many changes, it is a colorful document with 17 thousand changes, that even distributors do not understand what they should do, and even spend a lot of time to understand a clear procedure. Simplification, a simple code is needed: these are the conditions, these are the criteria,” said Dareban during the launch of the Code of Good Practice for Renewable Energy.

She also said that a solution needs to be found so that everyone can connect to the network, not just those who will take it over.

“We must abandon this completely false concept of free. There is no such thing as free. We need to prioritize connections to reach as many customers as possible and maintain the standard of connectivity in the consumer space, not because we have a problem with them, but because it should be an opportunity that as many people as possible can enjoy , and not as much as possible,” says an ACUE representative.

Earlier, during the same event, the president of ANRE, George Niculescu, said that there is a need to limit the power installed by the prosumer in order not to create an imbalance in the low voltage network.
