At the exhibition in Munich, Renault returned to the fore the familiar name, which is no longer an MPV, but an SUV and is 100% electric. Scenic returns to the car market and has two versions of autonomy, one for 420 km and another for 620 km.
Renault Scenic E-Tech is built on the platform of the CMF-EV alliance and will be released in early 2024. The platform is also used in Megane and Nissan Ariya models.
The new Scenic will be produced in France, in the city of Douai, and is presented by Renault as a family car with a lot of storage space.
The “original” Scenic concept was presented in 1991 at the Frankfurt Motor Show, and the family car was launched in 1996 and sold 5.3 million copies, of which more than two million are in circulation.
The new Scenic E-Tech is an electric SUV, its length is 4.47 meters, it is slightly shorter than the Nissan Ariya model, but the interior space is much larger.
Scenic E-Tech will be available in two battery versions:
– Battery 60 kWh, range 420 km
– battery 87 kWh, range 620 km
Two versions of the engine will be available
-125 kW (170 hp), maximum speed of 150 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.3 seconds
– 160 kW/h (220 hp), maximum speed of 170 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.4 seconds.
Scenic will be the third compact SUV in the Renault line after Austral and Arkana.
