Romania has a trade deficit with Russia of 103.8 million euros. These are data for the first half of 2023. If compared with the same period last year, the number is much lower. This is more than 20 times less.
Let’s not forget that Russia started a war in Ukraine on February 24, 2022. So various trades were made by then. Also, sanctions were phased in while the trade continued.
This does not mean that Romanian companies do not trade with Russia today. Data provided by the National Institute of Statistics at the request of HotNews.ro show what we send there and what the Russians give us.
