
​SpaceX, Elon Musk’s company that develops the Starship rocket, made a profit in the first months of the year, while costs increased significantly. The company does not publish financial data, the Wall Street Journal reports.
In the first quarter, profit was $55 million and revenue was $1.5 billion. For the full year 2022, revenues were $4.6 billion and losses were $559 million.
Compared to 2021, losses almost halved and revenues doubled.
Total spending on various projects rose from $3.3 billion in 2021 to $5.2 billion last year.
The Stalink satellite launch business is going well, but not so with the Starship mega-rocket, which failed to make its first orbital flight.
