On Friday, financiers continue protests across the country against the background of dissatisfaction with the draft resolution on reducing costs, and on August 22 they announce a two-hour work stoppage and a protest action in front of the Ministry of Finance.
At this time, several protests by employees of financial departments in Ploiesti, Piatra Neamka and Iasi are ongoing, the members of the country’s trade unions informed HotNews.ro.
in Ploiesti, the local press writesthat ANAF workers are unhappy with some of the provisions of the draft Decree on fiscal and budgetary measures, as well as some older problems with regard to the compensation of workers in this system.
“A lot of things, but the draft decree, which provides for the reduction of vacations, the reduction of the hardship allowance and the loss of the meal allowance for workers above a certain salary level, has put a lid on it,” an employee of the fiscal office in Ploiesti told us.
Due to the protests, ANAF and the Treasury are closed on Friday morning in Ploiesti.
Financiers from Neamts revolt: “We cannot agree to be the laughingstock of the governors!”
And in Neamka this morning near the headquarters of the institution, employees started a spontaneous protest. The employees of cash registers, as well as some of those who work in other departments, gathered until 9 o’clock in the hall on the first floor of the treasury of Pyatra Neamts, writes the local press.
Christian Aaney, the leader of the SedLex NeamÈ› union, says that this is not an action by the union, which at the central level has called a warning strike for August 22. The reason for the protest is the “Colaku Resolution” project, with which the government wants to reduce budget spending in order not to lose European funding through the PNRR, amid an increase in the budget deficit.
On Thursday, a meeting of the National Council of the National Federation of Finance Trade Unions took place, which was convened urgently on the basis of information regarding the draft emergency order on reducing budget expenditures.
According to the trade union organization, the project envisages limiting the increase in harmful conditions to 1,000 lei, not providing food assistance and vacation vouchers for people with a gross income of more than 10,000 lei, the abolition of vacant positions, the abolition of the office and the position of the head of the office.
“The last form provides for the possibility for the head of the institution to make a decision on granting a management position to the head of the staff/service whose position is being reduced. If he offers a position and there is no vacancy, everyone who will hold a management position in the structure will participate in the competition, the structure will be reduced by at least one position. The leaders of the county member unions, present at the meeting of the National Council, decided to completely reject this project, which, if approved in its current form, would lead to a decrease in income by 700 lei (on average) and job losses,” the Trade Union emphasizes on his page in social networks.
This request is added to two other specific requirements, respectively: the equalization of wages at the maximum level of payment for each function, professional level and gradation in the fiscal system and the introduction in the new wage law of “finance” professional family and the corresponding wage scale of the complexity of the performed activity
“In confirmation of these claims, it was decided to start protest actions at the all-Ukrainian level: on August 22, 2023, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., hold a protest action with a stoppage of work, in front of all the streets. offices of institutions in the fiscal system: DGRFP , AJFP, customs departments/offices, anti-fraud departments. Simultaneously with the protests on the territory, on August 22, 2023, between 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., a protest action will be organized in front of the headquarters of the Ministry of Finance, where each district union will send a minimum of 10 representatives. The protests will continue from August 24, 2023, depending on the development of possible discussions with representatives of the Government and the desire of trade union members and non-members to settle our legal demands,” the document quotes.
Finance Minister Marcel Bolosh said in a press release on Thursday that employees of the Ministry of Finance play a fundamental role in the economic development of the country and therefore they should be rewarded according to the importance of their work. activity.

I am a partner of the employees of the ministry, my door is always open if they want to bring to me their concerns or the problems they are facing. The employees of this institution play a role fundamental to the economic development of the country, and I am the first to recognize their value when I have the opportunity. They will play a vital role in the development of the economy and the implementation of the necessary measures to that end. That is why they should be rewarded in proportion to the importance of their work. The flip side of the coin is that I hope to treat every day with professionalism and efficiency, because the lack of efficiency costs us dearly,” he said.

“This is a form of spontaneous strike that our colleagues have already adopted. It is not controlled by a trade union. We wanted to start the same protest action on August 22, but in the meantime our colleagues were even more indignant and came. in spontaneous forms. Let’s see how the government I announced controls them.
