Until 17:00 on July 17, the deadline for submitting binding proposals for Attiki Odosdated July 10, which was set earlier.
The tender concerns a new concession agreement to finance, operate, maintain and operate the Attic Road for 25 years.
According to TAIPED, the decision to postpone the closing date for applications was made after a request from the majority of pre-selected investors.
It is noted that in early May, the board of directors of the fund approved the final form of the concession agreement, as there will be no further consultations with interested investors.
Among the important parameters of the new contract were “fixing” the fare at 2.5 euros (from the current 2.8 euros). However, the contractor is also given the opportunity to apply upward revision after the end of the first five years contract. For this, there must be a clear and detailed justification with traffic studies and other data that must be provided by the contractor to document the reduction in traffic and revenue (compared to the performance of the contract) in order to provide a price increase.
