FECA: Thousands of pensions are being recalculated – Unfinished business will be closed by autumn

Two parallel projectsexcept for the question of expected pensions (main, auxiliary and one-time) its services “work” during this period EFKA: recalculation of tens of thousands of pensionswhich, due to the lack of software and data, was not calculated based on “Brutsis law» 2019, as well as the calculation increased pensions of those who had parallel insurance.

According to information, in the vast majority of them, these outstanding cases will be closed. Autumn and only very difficult cases will remain for which there is no evidence and as a result another treatment is required.

Details on the issue of recalculation approx. 150,000 pensionsaccording to information, EFKA services have intended automation and during the summer they will start paying new, recalculated pensions.

It is expected to exist from UAE pensions for which the required data are not available. For them, it is considered necessary to carry out a statistical recalculation, which, however, requires a decision of the ministry and can be delayed even further.

As for the increase in pensions through parallel insurance, EFKA has already begun to pay increased pension amounts to those who retired after the entry into force of “Law of Katrugalos(n. 4387/16), i.e. after May 13, 2016

In fact, in some cases, the delay is 7 years, as a result of which EFKA has to pay retroactively, even 30,000 euros.

They have already been identified ca. 15,000 beneficiaries this category, of which almost 3000 have received allowances and their retrospectives are expected.

These are supplements for pensioners who applied for a pension after May 2016, received their first pension and are awaiting the calculation of their additional contributions paid.

Since, in fact, the choice of the leadership of the Ministry of Labor and the administration of the FECA was to first of all unlock pensions for those who had no income, “parallel pensions” were left behind, even causing a sharp reaction from the beneficiaries.

Now the reaction comes from the “old” pensioners, who during their working lives worked under a parallel insurance regime.

Already, Unified network of pensioners (ENDISY) filed a lawsuit against EFKA and in the previous days filed an additional memorandum in Athens Criminal Prosecution.

As is usually emphasized, although the FECA administration undertook to the prosecutor’s office to correct the errors identified in the recalculation of already issued pensions (with the addition of parallel length of service) from 01/01/2019, however, he did not take the slightest action.

The problem concerns all those pensioners who received a pension before its launch Law 4387/16that is, until May 13, 2016.

Pensioners of this category, who during their working life had parallel insurance, by virtue of a special law, according to HOWEVER they are entitled to an increase to the pension they have already received, and this is with the recalculation of the pension from 01/01/2019.
