The use of this digital service by insurance companies concerns the entire life cycle of an insurance policy, i.e. issuing, modifying or even canceling it. At the same time, KYC contributes to the certification that insurance companies receive in the field of compliance management and is positively evaluated by their supervisory body, the Bank of Greece.

More broadly, as Mr. Pierrakakis mentioned, the Greek state is expected to be more than 99% digitized in the next four years, while approximately 4,000 processes are expected, which include the provision of services to citizens and businesses. for digitization. Know Your Customer is one of 1,530 services available on the gov.gr platform that generated 1.2 billion digital transactions in 2022.
