Them “Venetian oven” looks like they’re finally coming to an end “Ice Cream Dodoni”, as the head of the first, Mr. Panagiotis Monemvasiotis, said yesterday, there is an agreement with the creditor banks of the second and the last details remain for making the appropriate signatures. This development is only one part of it. investment planning “Venetis” for the next four years, a plan that provides for investments totaling 79.5 million euros. The goal after the implementation of this investment is to quadruple Venetis’ turnover to over 200 million euros from 52.29 million euros in 2022.

Recall that Venetis was one of the main contenders for Pagota Dodoni in the past, but last summer the investment scheme of the first participant of the head of ELGEKA, Mr. Alexandros Katsiotis, became the preferred investor. However, in October last year, the negotiations ended ingloriously, as a result of which the banks turned to Venetis. Although Mr. Monemvasiotis did not disclose the acquisition price of the well-known ice cream maker, he indicated that it was increased by 15% from the company’s original offer, which means just over 4 million euros. It is recalled that, according to the information, the offer of the first runner was 4 million euros for the purchase of loans worth 36 million euros from Pagota Dodoni.

The Dodoni Ice Cream Factory in Pallini, where ice cream production will continue, will also be handed over to Venetis. The ultimate goal of Venetis is to transfer the production of ice cream to a new facility that it plans to build in Viotia, where it is planned to move the plant from Lykovrisi, where it is currently located. The Venetis project provides for the creation of a network of 12 stores under the Dodoni brand, of which two will be corporate, and the rest will operate on a franchising system. In just four years, including the acquisition, investments specifically in Dodoni Ice Cream will amount to 10 million euros.

Small coffee shop chains have come under the radar of Venetis, mainly aiming to develop Veneti Go stores, as well as catering chains and bakery chains.

Far more urgent, however, are plans to reopen stores during 2023, which have been in the works for several years. Now a typical case is Jackson Hall in Kolonaki, which, after seven years of leasing property from Venetis, is finally projected to be operational this year, including a bakery on the ground floor and a bar-restaurant on the 1st floor. .

Additionally, Pizza Mia and Jackson Burger-branded dark kitchens are expected to increase to ten by the end of 2023 from four today. In addition, Venetis has recently partnered with the Tailor Made team (known for the shop of the same name, which previously operated in Agia Irini Square) and developed a new coffee and snack shop in the center of Athens under the brand name Custom Coffee Roasters.
