Nine out of ten French people under the age of 30 want to be owners rather than renters, while eight out of ten people aged 16 to 25 in Switzerland and Germany dream of the same.
In many parts of Europe, the dream of owning a home has been present since the age of 20. But the path from dream to reality is long. The Belgians are the earliest to buy a home, and the Czechs are the last in this ranking.
Romania is in a somewhat paradoxical situation. Despite having one of the oldest average home buying ages, Romania, as we well know, is the country with the highest percentage of home owners in the world.
