
Those who are in a hurry and file a tax return by tomorrow, even if they have to pay LIGHTthey will receive a tax refund. In particular, according to the plan of the Independent State Revenue Authority, those taxpayers who do not have debts in Aada V Efkawaiting to return from income tax return and they don’t want it to count against ENFIA, they are asked to file by tomorrow or wait until ENFIA is issued, pay ENFIA and then file a tax return.
Otherwise, and subject to the release of ENFIA’s liquidators next weekend, April 29 and 30, the refund from tax returns filed since Thursday will be credited against ENFIA’s debts.
AADE data show, however, that tax refunds have exceeded all previous ones.
In particular, three out of four taxpayers who filed a tax return and had a credit report already saw income tax refund money in their bank accounts. Since the filing of tax returns began on March 31, AADE has made three payments, the amount of refunds has reached 10 million euros. Of the 44,217 credit note taxpayers eligible for income tax refunds, 33,998 people were paid out, receiving a total of €9.656 million.
The remaining 10,219 taxpayers will receive an email from AADE within a week informing them that the income tax refund they are entitled to will be credited against other tax debts. In some cases, AADE will need to complete some checks against certain criteria in order to proceed with a refund.
The 242,413 tax returns filed so far show the following:
– 55.43% of statements are zero. This means that 136,369 taxpayers will not pay the additional tax.
– 25.72% of statements are debited. A total of 62,349 taxpayers have to pay €46.5 million, with an average tax of €778. It is noted that income tax is paid either once with a 3% discount until July 31, 2023, or in 8 equal monthly payments, the first one until July 31, 2023, and the last one until February 29, 2024.
– 18.86% of statements are offset. The 45,719 eligible taxpayers will receive a total of €19.5 million, or €427 each.
