The Athens Stock Exchange closed yesterday’s session as investors took profits. The market corrected after eleven bullish sessions, during which the main stock index recorded a total gain of 9.46%.

The general price index closed at 1111.11 points, down 0.82%. Intra-session, he fixed a lower price at 1106.73 units (-1.21%). The transaction value was EUR 97.11 million, with 112,412,533 shares sold.

The large-cap index fell 0.84%, while the mid-cap index fell 0.93%.

Of the highly capitalized stocks, Sarantis (+1.45%), Lamda Development (+1.02%), Jumbo (+0.67%) and Coca-Cola HBC (+0.60%) demonstrated the largest gains.

On the contrary, the largest decline was recorded in the shares of Motor Oil (-2.52%), Piraeus (-2.45%), Alpha Bank (-2.34%) and ELPE (-1.92%).

Of the individual indices, real estate (+0.80%) and personal goods (+0.60%) showed the largest growth, while the biggest losses were shown by oil (-2.35%), financial services (-1.93%), telecommunications. (-1.63%) and Banks (-1.48%).

The largest volume of transactions was represented by MIG and Alfa Bank, trading 91,846,161 and 6,070,131 shares, respectively. The highest transaction value was recorded by MIG with €19.93m and Piraeus with €11.87m.

Kekrops (+4.85%) and Europharm (+4.67%) demonstrated the highest growth. On the contrary, Attic Publishing (-9.66%) and Vioter (-6.72%) recorded the largest losses.

33 stocks rose, 63 fell and 28 remained stable.
